FitKid

FitKid

The FitKid project uses advanced methods to monitor nutritional status across all family members, with a specific emphasis on women’s health. By exploring links to fertility, pregnancy- and birth outcomes, and development from childhood- through puberty- to menopause, the project aims to unravel complex mechanisms linking pre-conception-, gestational, and childhood nutrition to health and well-being within a family cohort. Findings are expected to address long-term nutrition and health issues, and to support the development of intervention strategies from pre-conception through childhood to optimize maternal and child health outcomes.
